EnCRAFTment ChCh - I got there!!
And it was awesome to see such an inspiring group of fabulous talent gathered together to warm up a chilly Saturday! I just had to share only SOME of the fabby stall-holders that i got the opportunity to visit.........
First of all, I caught up with the talented Briar Cook of Rethreads fame - ohhhh; her ability to re-craft tired woolens into must-have wearable fiesty funbits is very cool! As per the funky piece of work below.....
Then, Lee Sinclair's fine-art penwork just made my heart stop; check out www.cloudninecreative.co.nz; you will see what I mean! I wish I could show an image here; just go look on the website; see the beautiful "I Love ChCh" jewellery Lee has done for our beautiful city...........
And then young talent www.scoodasaurus.comwww.scoodasaurus.com gave me giggle-bumps; I mean; how cool are THESE?!
And this girl is getting orders overseas; way cool! I bet her mum is so proud of her inventiveness!
Talk about talent; young statistics student Meghan has put together slyfoxjewellery "in her spare time" as she studies statistics at Uni - wow!!
Aren't these gorgeous?!
And I LOVED eckdesigns' use of old stamps depicting our dear ChCh Cathedral; special link-ins with our lost heritage..........jewellery sure to empower tender memories..........
And she has funky "Day of the Dead" skull jewellery; VERY current, for a bit of fun........
And at Freedom Creative, you can share my love of Japanese-inspired jewellery pieces; yum!
RACI DESIGNS made GORGEOUS, oh-so-simple-to-wear A-line printed skirts with a "guilt-free" waistline (Don't you LOVE that??!!); superb for ANY body shape! Oh I WISH I had a pic to post on here for you; & apologies; no website either...........awwww! BUT; she IS a local Lyttelton girl, so can be reached on 027.295.5240 for viewing or order enquiries........
Then; there was Mudbird; handcrafted ceramic YUM by Gillian Weavers.......think ceramic rings; brooches; mmmmm...........
At the Relique stand, time stood still for a moment as I feasted on the earrings made from antique clock-hand design; oh-so-filigree..............
And too many more to mention, but I sooo loved what I have previewed here..............thankyou to all of the artists for your work; may you continue to inspire & uplift others as their garments & bodies become graced with your adornments!
And; last word; it is Peter Carl Faberge's 166th birthday today!! (He made the embellished jewellery caskets for the emperors & kings of old Russia; & also inspired THE most glorious out-putting of Faberge-love from my much-missed & adored mother who tenderly crafted THE most stunning egg-caskets over the years throughout my childhood..............long live outpourings of love though art..............)
Loving fashion & fun always;
